VISA :
Excipt Indian Nationais all other citizens must possess a valid visa which can be obtained from any of the Royal Nepalese Embassles or consulates abroad. A 15 day visa can be procured at the airport or check post after filling the relevant application form along with two passport size photographs and paying the visa fee.

ENTERING NEPAL :
The capital city of Kathmandu is linked by both air and road. Flights lind it with Delhi . Calcutta . Varanasi and Bombay in India . Dhaka in Bangladesh . Karachi ( Pakistan ). Paro ( Bhutan ). Bangkak ( Thailand ). Singapore . Hongkong. Dubai . Frankfurt . London . Paris . Osaka and Lhasa. By road there are 15 entry points. The major ones being Birgung . (Sunauli) Bhairahawa. kakrbhita. Nepalgunj (from India ) and at kodari from Tibet .
TIME :
AIRPORT TAX : For the International sector US$ 15 Per perwon. For the Domestic sector tax US$ 100 per person. PASSPORT : A valid passport is required for all nationais except Indians.
CUSTOMS : All baggage. must undergo Customs inspections on free. Apart from this a still camera. a bottle of liquor. one video camera ( without deck). 200 cigarettes. or 20 cigars. one tent and camping equipments are allowed free of duty .
HOLIDAYS : Saturday is the weekly holiday. while museums remain closed on Tuesday and other Govt. holidays.
CURRENCY REGULATION : Import of Indian Currency by foreigners other than Indian nationals is strictly prohibited. All visitors should obtain a receipt for all currency exchange. The same should be handed over at the airport at the time of departure and generally 10% of the amount exchanged can be reconverted from Nepalese Rupee currently in circulation.
LOCAL CURRENCY : The Nepalese Rupee is the local currency and is subdivided into 100 paises. The denomination of currency NOTES AVAILABLE ARE IN 1.2.5.10.20.50.100.500.1000 AND COINS IN 5.10.25.50 SND 1 Ruppe currently in circulation
